A PRAYER FOR
THE MIDDLE OF AUTUMN

Lord of nature, as the air coolsand evening light fades,
teach us to number our days.

As leaves turn bright colors and then fall,
teach us to number our days.

Just as summer never lasts forever,
neither does our strength.

Where we see fading, help us acknowledge it.
Where we see change, help us embrace it.

Let our hearts echo the trees:letting go of what’s over,
yet staying rooted.

In Jesus' name, amen.
