A PRAYER FOR
THE MIDDLE OF WINTER

Gracious God, teach me to be grateful
for everything:

For the warmth and the cold, for laughter
and for grief, for success and when things
don’t go my way.

While we are wading through dark nights
and cold days and inconvenience of winter,

Nourish me in the hidden,
frozen places of my life.

Infuse me with hope, that You are working
all things together for my good.

In Jesus name, I believe spring will soon
arrive, help me to trust you more and more.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
