PRAYER FOR COMMUNION

Leader: Let all who know Jesus approach communion now with confidence.

People: For Jesus has opened the way through His body and blood.

Leader: We do not come because we are worthy of His sacrifice.

People: We come because He is worthy of our thanks.

Leader: Through the cross, mercy meets us here.

People: Through the resurrection, hope meets us here.

Leader: This bread is His body, broken so we may be whole again.

People: We receive it with boldness, in faith and gratitude.

Leader: This cup is His blood, poured out so we may be whole again.

People: We receive it with thanks, we are forgiven and free.

All: In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
