The Good News Pathway to Homeownership Program helps families move toward the dream of owning a home by providing low-cost housing and holistic support for two years.
At the end of the two-year period, participating families receive down-payment assistance toward purchasing a home of their own.
Residents live at Rimini, our featured six-flat apartment building, designed to be both a home and a launchpad for long-term stability and growth.
-
Homeownership is one of the most significant ways families build stability, security, and generational wealth — yet it remains out of reach for many.
Our goal is to open that door for families who are ready to take intentional steps toward their dream.
-
To be considered for the Pathway to Homeownership Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Reside within Palatine Township or surrounding communities
Maintain full-time employment
Have reliable transportation
Demonstrate ability to make 3x monthly rent at Rimini and secure a lease
-
The Pathway program walks alongside families every step of the way:
Step 1: Apply & Interview
Submit your application and meet with our team to share your story and goals.
Step 2: Mortgage Counseling & Resourcing
Receive guidance, financial education, and personalized resources to prepare for homeownership.
Step 3: Down-Payment Assistance & Housing Referral
At the end of the program, qualified families are granted down-payment support and connected with trusted housing partners to help purchase their home.

Outreach
Throughout the year we sponsor several different charitable drives for local organizations distributing clothes, bookbags, books etc. We also support Blessings in a Backpack at Sanborn Elementary. If you are interested in serving your community in this capacity this is a great way to serve.
